Google Researching Contrails

Google, with the support of the UK government, is leading a study of the effect contrails have on global warming. This research seeks to determine if slight modifications to flight paths can significantly reduce contrails’ impact. The study will be focused on the Shanwick Oceanic airspace near Ireland.
